Moisture Wicking Shirts from DRIFIRE

DRIFIRE offers superior moisture management capabilities, with the optimum combination of wicking and fast-drying. Our moisture wicking t shirts are designed to not only keep you safe and dry, but last longer than most other performance wear. Moisture wicking shirts are superior to any fabric for several reasons:

  • Utilizing the patented, dri-release® technology, DRIFIRE® moisture wicking shirts provide the optimum combination of wicking and fast-drying.
  • Dri-release® draws perspiration away from the skin faster than 100% cotton and other performance fabrics and spreads moisture throughout the fabric, which allows airflow to evaporate moisture more effectively.
  • When the user is done sweating, the DRIFIRE fast-dry feature removes the residual moisture rapidly, maintaining comfort and preventing chills.
  • DRIFIRE’s natural performance exceeds all accepted military and commercial wicking standards, easily matching the capabilities of treated polyester or cotton. With increased safety for military and commercial work, our moisture wicking shirts are the best on the market.
  • Unlike our competitors however, DRIFIRE actively manages moisture with a combination of wicking and fast-drying to keep you cooler and drier.

DRIFIRE's remarkable wicking and drying capabilities are made possible by a hydrophilic (water-seeking) fiber known as lyocell. While you may not recognize that term, you may know the brand name by which a leading form of lyocell fiber is marketed -- Tencel®. It is manufactured for us by Lenzig, Inc.

From 10% to 15% of the patented DRIFIRE moisture wicking t shirts blend consists of this fiber product which is made from wood pulp cellulose. It is this natural ever-thirsty substance, and a new-age manufacturing process developed by Lenzig called nano-fibril technology, that results in DRIFIRE garments like our moisture wicking shirts with moisture management (MM) benefits rivaling anything on the market today from any source. Cotton and other fabrics are often too dangerous to use in extreme conditions, while moisture wicking shirts from DRIFIRE offer sustained protection that lasts far longer than any other fabrics.

The first-ever cellulose fiber to use this nano technology, the finished Tencel fabric upon close examination reveals a controlled and consistently regular arrangement of nanofibrils. This takes the natural absorption qualities of wood pulp cellulose to a whole new level. Tencel, for example, is 50% more absorbent than cotton. Used with DRIFIRE moisture wicking shirts, it means more time available to work safely in extreme cold environments.

But optimized moisture transport and its even distribution for accelerated drying are factors, too. They are important not only to moisture management, but to comfort and skin hygiene as well. Again, the nano-fibril technology in our moisture wicking t shirts makes the difference. Moisture transport as a result of nano technology used to manufacture Tencel sets a new moisture management benchmark., especially in contrast to synthetic fibers, with reduced wicking properties. In fact, synthetic fibers cannot absorb moisture into the inside of the fiber. In tests against polyester, cotton and wool, the Tencel used in our moisture wicking shirts features the highest moisture absorption-rate.

The result of this is a DRIFIRE fabric blend that quickly, evenly, and constantly spreads moisture in the highest possible volumes throughout the whole garment. This, in turn, maximizes the surface area for airflow which is the most essential element in the fastest evaporation possible. In combination, this wicking and absorption moisture transfer and distribution all work together to keep you cool during activity and then quickly reduce residual moisture during inactive phases. With DRIFIRE moisture wicking t shirts comfort is maintained, chills are prevented while at rest, and your performance is enhanced.

Well known for its absorptive properties, and widely used in premium garments from leading brands like Tommy Bahama and Patagonia, lyocell fibers are soft, very strong when wet or dry, and resistant to wrinkles. They provide the strength of our moisture wicking shirts. DRIFIRE advances in moisture wicking shirts simply offer more protection, over more time, in harsh elements where any moisture can be dangerous and sometimes fatal.
