NAVAIR Flame Resistant (FR) Garments and Flight Suits
NAVAIR DRIFIRE Authorization
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has significantly expanded its authorization for Naval Aviation Commands, including Marine Aviation Commands, to procure a greater variety of DRIFIRE garments through open purchase or through GSA. The DRIFIRE Performance and Flame Resistant (FR) Garments that have received approval to date include the Company’s silkweight T-shirts and silkweight boxer shorts, both of which were previously authorized for purchase last August, as well as the addition now of silkweight long sleeve T-shirts, silkweight long pants, midweight T-shirts, midweight long sleeve T-shirts, and midweight long pants.
Coming Soon: DRIFIRE Flight Suit!
DRIFIRE constantly strives to create new product lines that help enhance performance and protect our service personnel. DRIFIRE has developed a new flight suit as a prototype modeled after the 27/P Flight Suit. This flight suit is made from DRIFIRE's woven material, making it cooler and more comfortable than the traditional 27/P (which has not been updated since 1965). The DRIFIRE flight suit's soft, comfortable fabric features Moisture Management technology to enables fast-drying, while its superior color-fastness ensures that the suit will not fade.
